A pull up band is a large rubber band that is tied around the pull up bar, then you place either a foot or a knee in the open “loop” hanging from the bar as you do your pull ups. Because pull ups are a bodyweight exercise, the more you weigh, the more difficult it is to do. The band will assist you by taking on some of the bodyweight load, making you “lighter” and allowing your muscles to complete the pull up movement at a more manageable weight.
Pull up bands assist with the pull-up movement in any type of physical training- for those who are trying to achieve a strict or kipping pull up for the first time. Alternatively, pull up bands can also be used to assist those trying to achieve multiple unbroken reps, or max reps in a workout. To learn more click here
Imagine this: You haven’t been to the gym in weeks because you’ve been too busy at work. You finally find time for a session and plan to do some weights and some cardio. You get to the gym in your gear, walk up to the weights and ew, you’re sitting in someone else’s sweat. Your desire to work out is gone. You hit the showers and go home.
Unfortunately, people with bad etiquette can be found in any social setting, even your gym. They’re not necessarily being intentionally inconsiderate. At the gym, people focus on bettering themselves both physically and mentally. It’s easy to be in your own world when you’re exercising, earphones on, music thumping. Sometimes, you simply forget to pack a towel in your gym bag. Other times, towels can seem big and cumbersome, and unnecessary for a good work-out. To learn more click here
